News: NESC Participates in the Modern Method of Construction (MMC) Ireland National Conference in Kilkenny

MMC Ireland, the leading representative body for Ireland’s MMC sector, held its second National Conference at the Lyrath Estate in Co. Kilkenny on 22^nd and 23^rd May 2024. This event focused on the advances and industry barriers affecting the adoption and deployment of MMC, including key developments in government policy and regulation, construction sector sustainability and supply chain capacity.

NESC Policy Analyst Dr Dáithí Downey was one of the featured speakers on the conference’s first day, where he provided an input to the panel discussion “Offsite in Action – Challenges and Opportunities”. He also engaged in networking with some of the nearly 400 delegates and 40+ other speakers who were in attendance.
