News: NESC Meets with Eurofound to Discuss Shared Areas of Interest

On Monday 8th April 2024 NESC Director Larry O’Connell and Senior Policy Analyst Damian Thomas met with Eurofound’s Executive Director Ivailo Kalfin and several members of their senior management team: Maria Jepsen, Barbara Gestenberger, Massimiliano Mascherini, Tadas Leončikas and Mary McCaughey.
During the visit Eurofound presented highlights of their current research findings and priorities with a spotlight on Ireland. Both organisations discussed areas of mutual research interest including job quality, well-being, labour market developments, the green transition and housing. The importance of future collaboration and cooperation was also emphasised.
Eurofound is the tripartite EU agency providing knowledge to assist in the development of better social, employment and work-related policies. They will be holding an Open Day on 17th May – more details can be found by clicking here.
